Ryumeikan Food Allergy Policy

1. Purpose

At Ryumeikan Co. Ltd., we have established a Food Allergy Policy as our basic guideline for accommodating food allergies so that our guests can enjoy their meals with peace of mind.

Please note that the menus offered, how allergen information is displayed and the extent to which we can accommodate requests may vary depending on the facility. We kindly ask that you consult the facility you plan to visit in advance.

2. Our Basic Policy

At each facility, various ingredients are handled in the same kitchen and we do not use separate cooking utensils for each specific ingredient. Therefore, there is a possibility that trace amounts of ingredients other than the original ones may be mixed in.

For buffet-style meals offered at some of our restaurants, ingredients may be mixed into other dishes via tongs or other utensils, which may result in the unintentional inclusion of allergens (cross-contamination).

3. How we accommodate guests with food allergies

We provide allergen information for the nine specified ingredients in accordance with the Food Labeling Act. Please note that how this information is provided varies depending on the restaurant. You can check it on menu cards, allergen lists and other materials.

In addition, we provide an allergen list for the nine specified ingredients upon request. However, please note that the allergen list is created for only a selection of our menus and does not cover all menus we offer. Furthermore, depending on the availability of ingredients and changes in our offerings, we may serve items not listed on the allergen list.

If you have any food allergies, please contact the facility when making a reservation or before your visit. For those planning on making a course reservation for our course, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate any requests for ingredient substitutions or other changes. Guests who provide their own allergy-friendly processed food, we will heat it in the restaurant. Guests are asked to confirm the content mentioned above for final judgment before ordering and eating on their own.

4. Handling of personal information regarding food allergies

Personal information obtained from customers will only be used only to create menus for food allergies, communicate with medical institutions in the event of an allergic reaction at our restaurant and confirm food allergy information for future restaurant visits.
